  • Fixed a problem in 2000/XP where switching clock faces in transparent mode was causing the transparency to not update.
  • Correctly launching the Internet Properties Control Panel (Connections tab) from the “Change…” button in Email Preferences.

  • Show/Hide Clock now saves between sessions.  Previous versions would not persist this selection, and the clock would always show the next time it ran.  This feature can be found on the Clock menu, Options menu, then toggle Show Clock.

Bugs Fixed in version 4.2:

  • Alarms defined a "Once" would chime early (and often).  This has been corrected so that alarms no longer trigger early.
  • Defining alarm trigger time is now sensitive to 12/24 hours clock settings.
  • Fixed a font size bug in the Countdown clock
  • Countdown clock now defaults to the next New Year, instead of the year 3000 New Year.
  • Two setup dialogs could be opened in previous versions.  This has been fixed.
  • Text in transparent mode was drawing with the user's settings for "Smooth edges of screen fonts".  This would cause a gray border around the fonts.  Clock G2 now draws fonts in Transparent mode to avoid this font edge problem (the program uses the user's preferences when not in transparent mode).

    • Wake you in the morning.
    • Speak the time at the top of the hour

  • Modifications via the options menu now save correctly during a re-boot of Windows.
  • Fixed a problem where sounds could play twice if screen saver and desktop clock are running at the same time.

New features in version 4.0:

  • Support for Speech Recognition and Speech Synthesis. Have you ever wanted to be able to tell what time it is in London just by giving a voice command? Just say "What time is it on London?", and Clock G2 will tell you.  This feature requires Speech software already installed on your computer. (feature removed in future version)
  • Under Windows 2000, you can now run transparent mode using seconds.  Clock G2 takes advantage of a new system feature to make transparent mode less of a system load. The seconds feature (in Transparent mode) is disabled for other versions of Windows.
  • You can now have Clock G2 automatically connect to the Internet to check your e-mail for synchronize your clock. After perform these operations, Clock G2 will disconnect from your ISP.

  • A Skin editor has been integrated in the Clock G2 setup dialog. You can create your own skins or edit and remove skins from your skin list. You can also pack up one or more skins to send to a friend. If they have Clock G2, they can double click on the skin file and it automatically adds it to their skin list.

Bugs Fixed in version 4.0:

  • Clock G2 can now be installed under the Guest account of NT or Windows 2000.
  • Clock G2 can now run on a Windows 95 machine without Internet Explorer.  Previous versions of Clock G2 required IE 3.0 or higher installed.

New features in version 3.1:

  • A time zone editor has been integrated into Clock G2. This is handy for modifying and adding to the built in time zones in Windows. These time zones are used by the World Clock to calculate the current time for each selected city.
  • A check box was added to the time zone dialog so that a time zone could be selected for a city without adjusting for daylight savings time.

Bugs fixed in version 3.1:

  • Memory management has improved when using a clock with skins. A large clock (full screen) with skins would cause Windows 95/98 systems to sometimes react strangely after the clock ran for several hours. This problem did not occur on Windows NT. This bug has been fixed.
  • The routines to calculate the current local time for each city in the
world clock were not accurately calculating the cross-over date/time for daylight savings time. This problem occurred on selected cities that are in time zones where Daylight Savings Time is defined. The symptom was that certain cities would display a time that was wrong by one hour. The routines have been rewritten to be 100% accurate. This problem was only under Windows 95/98 and did not occur in Windows NT.
